PreK-3rd Grade Story-Time Information
PreK-3rd grade students at RISD have a scheduled story-time in the library once a week. During story-time, we share books, videos, songs, and other fun literacy activities to engage the students in reading! We welcome visitors to any scheduled story-time. We encourage you to find a story-time that is near the age of the child you would like to bring. An adult must remain with children under the age of 8 when visiting the library.

EDUCATIONAL SERVICES

4th-8th Grade Library Sessions

4th- 8th grade students at RISD also have a scheduled time in the library once a week. During library sessions with our older students, the class may be involved in reading and responding to text, research, writing, small-group collaboration, using technology, etc. We try to find new ways to engage students through diverse library resources.

If you are planning to attend a session for 4th-8th grade, please call the library to ensure the class will be attending the library session for that week. Classroom schedules tend to change more in the upper grades, so we must be more flexible in our library scheduling. We always welcome visitors to our library time. Although, we encourage you to find a grade-level slot that is near the age of the child you would like to bring.
